“You can look at a picture for a week and never think of it again. You can also look at a picture for a second and think of it all your life.”

– Joan Miro

The Why

Kyle Ledeboer’s love for the great outdoors and telling the stories of those who share his passions drove him to become the artist that he is today. He is ever inspired by the people and places that he encounters with his core beliefs centered around the conservation and preservation of wild places.

The Who

Kyle’s journey to becoming a photographer all started in New York City when he saw a black and white photo of two alpinists walking passed a glacier near Mount Everest. He was awestruck, not only by its beauty but by its ruggedness and composition. As it turns out the photo was taken by the world-renowned photographer Jimmy Chin. Kyle knew at that moment what he needed to do and his life would never be the same. He spent the next ten years devoting every moment to mastering the art of photography.

Kyle is self-taught and has poured much of his time into the technology that is shaping the future of the industry. He has been able to capitalize on the fact that the hardware is getting smaller, lighter, and more accessible; everything from pocket-sized drones, to medium format cameras that fit in the palm of your hand.

This fast and light focus has helped him set himself apart; allowing him to deliver much more to his clients with an almost immediate turnaround time on finished media.

“The rules on what is possible and impossible in the arts were made by people who had not tested the bounds of the possible by going beyond them.”

Neil Gaiman

Why Fuji?

“The future of photography is mirrorless and Fujifilm has intelligently positioned itself at the helm of this revolution. The ability to carry more gear, further, and with less fatigue opens up a whole new world of possibilities. As leaders in the field of photography, Fuji has a heritage stretching all the way back to 1934, and they’ve been making world class optics for decades. The analog shooting experience with one of their cameras stirs up nostalgia from the days of film. They painstakingly planned out every button press so that it is intuitive and customizable, and as far as photo quality goes, the results speak for themselves. They make camera systems that I can rely on day in and day out in all kinds of gnarly weather to get the job done for my clients.”
